Design and layout of an entrance hall, showroom, meeting rooms, and a fitness space in Ixelles, Brussels - 270 m2
Maxime de Campenaere Studio has crafted a distinctive workspace for a real estate development firm, where materials that seam to be destined for construction purposes are elevated through masterful design.
This project embodies the client’s core identity: offering high-end, sustainable properties to a discerning clientele. The interior architecture strikes a delicate balance between strength and sophistication. Birch plywood panelling meets sleek, concrete-like coated banquettes, while the raw brick walls of the fitness area contrast with a mirrored wall that expands the perception of space. Curved hallways extend the architectural flow of the entrance, softening movement and creating a seamless, dynamic circulation. Glass partitions maximize natural light, opening up fresh perspectives throughout the building. On the façade, a striking iron cladding accentuates part of the structure, lending the entrance a commanding presence while contrasting with the softness and fluidity of the interiors.
Integrating a fitness space within an office environment required tailored technical and acoustic solutions. Anti-vibration systems minimize noise transmission, ensuring optimal comfort. Meanwhile, seamlessly integrated audio-visual equipment enhances the meeting rooms, blending functionality with refined aesthetics. This project exemplifies a flawless fusion of technical innovation and exquisite finishes, resulting in a space that is both highly functional and elegantly designed.
