Luxury Villa Transformation in Brussels — Architecture, Interior Design & Landscape – 700m2
Maxime De Campenaere Studio led the creative direction of an ambitious commission: the complete transformation of a four-façade villa, reimagined in every dimension — volumetry, interior architecture, and landscape design.
At the heart of the project lies a strong architectural gesture: a five-meter-high, twenty-meter-long wall that runs through the house, shaping and organizing the spaces. This central axis acts as the project’s backbone, structuring the different functions. On the ground floor, it separates the kitchen and dining area from the living rooms; upstairs, it defines the boundary between the parents’ quarters and the children’s zone. This central passage creates layers of transparency, cross views onto the surrounding nature, and a vertical dialogue between levels.
The volumes were precisely opened, both horizontally and vertically, to allow natural light to flow freely and bring a new sense of breath to every space.

Inside, each intervention aims for clarity and longevity. Materials were selected for their beauty, density, and character: Carrara marble in the bathroom, Macassar ebony for the headboard, black-stained oak for the library, and black granite in the kitchen. A noble vocabulary, serving a project conceived with great attention to detail.
Views of the garden were carefully composed: the dining room, housed in an extended wing of the original building, opens onto a wide picture window framing a majestic magnolia. A subtle way of letting architecture and nature converse, in harmony with the immediate surroundings.
