Design intérieur d’une construction neuve en CLT en bord de mer, Pays-Bas - 240 m2
Nestled in an exceptional natural setting along the Dutch coastline, this newly built CLT home stands as a contemporary sanctuary. Designed to welcome two families or serve as a seasonal rental, this vacation home strikes a perfect balance between aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
The interior architecture celebrates solid timber—a noble, warm material chosen for its ecological credentials and enduring strength. Clean lines and natural tones define the design, creating an atmosphere of calm and timeless elegance. The kitchen features blackened wood cabinetry, offering a striking contrast to natural timber surfaces, enhanced by mineral touches of stone. This interplay of textures not only enriches the sensory experience but also ensures effortless daily maintenance.
The boundary between interior and exterior is deliberately blurred. Flooring flows effortlessly from inside to out, and the tone of the exterior cladding reappears indoors, around the fireplace and within the kitchen. A restrained chromatic palette brings focus to the raw beauty of the timber structure and the curated art pieces it shelters.
Bedrooms and their adjoining shower rooms are conceived as uninterrupted volumes. The absence of partitions, along with a mirrored wall inside the shower, expands the spatial perception and captures glimpses of the surrounding landscape—even from the shower itself
Lighting and acoustics were approached with precision and care. The TV lounge is wrapped in grey-blue felt to soften sound, while acoustic ceiling panels integrate seamlessly with CLT walls. Subtle architectural lighting, embedded between the panel grooves, enhances the rhythm of the space without distraction.
